Social Mobilization for Prevention and Control of Japanese Encephalitis (JE)/ Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES)

• A six-day training workshop on preparedness to combat encephalitis, flood and earthquake was organised by NDMA chairman M Shashidhar Reddy on 21st November. The workshop aimed at sensitising volunteers about mitigation of natural disasters as well as encephalitis.
  
  
• National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) organised a TOT for the social mobilization and creating public awareness for prevention and control in JE/AES affected areas on 22nd and 23rd November, 2011 at B.R.D Medical College Gorakhpur as a pilot project.
  
  
• Released of IEC material for Japanese Encephalitis (JE)/ Acute Syndrome Encephalitis (AES) by NDMA.
